Hari Shankar Vyas (born 15 September 1956) is a senior Indian journalist, Chief Editor, and publisher of the national Hindi daily Naya India. He also serves as a consultant for ETV’s Hindi channels and has anchored-produced a five-day weekly program since 2009. Known for his sharp political insights, he writes the daily column Apen to Kahege and the long-running weekly Gupshup, published across leading Hindi and English newspapers, including The Sunday Pioneer.
Vyas began his journalism career in 1976 while studying at JNU, with his first article in Dainik Hindustan. He worked with Nai Duniya, Ravivar, and later as trainee journalist at Navbharat Times under S.H. Vatsyayan ‘Agyeya’. In 1979, he founded the feature agency Samvad Parikrama, widely syndicated across India. With over four decades of experience, his columns offer readers a ringside view of contemporary Indian politics, making him one of the most respected voices in Hindi journalism.
